HD 204827 is a very hot, normal star seen at great distance through much interstellar matter. Ground observations show it to have a very large polarization (5.7 times the interstellar absorption). This star is just faint enough to be observable by the Hubble Space Telescope spectropolarimeter. A cooperative program comparing the two instruments' observations (The Hubble Space Telescope's and WUPPE's) will be based on this star. HD 204827 has a very unusual color dependence in its visible polarization, so it is also a part of the interstellar polarization program.
