Other names: HD 22192
ID # 2205

UW Astronomer: Karen Bjorkman

Psi-Per is located in the constellation of Perseus. The stars of Perseus form a roughly V-shaped constellation, with its curving west side extending almost to the Pleiades cluster in Taurus. It is nearly circumpolar in the northern hemisphere and mid-latitudes.

Psi Perseus is a Be star with a mid-spectral type (B5) and a shell. Psi-Per is known binary (it has a companion star), but there is no evidence of a binary period in polarization observations.
